Malibu's are indeed excellent boats. I have a Mastercraft 230 vrs (v-drive) that takes most LM water just fine - even Blue Creek on bad days. I don't recommend you go under 22 -23 feet - both Malibu and MC have great options. Towers are going to be standard on most new - be careful of after market installations on anything that did not have the install plates build into the hull at the factory. Cracks seem to be prevelant with these.
