Interesting, but no mention of why the bacteria is around lakes, or even if it is only found around lakes. Maybe this teen is just more susceptible to that particular bacteria. What's your alternative? Live in a plastic bubble. Enjoy the lake; it probably won't eat you. Or, you could go to a few lakes in Alabama that will eat the hide right off you.
