I am "independent". I would vote for any democrat who is for "limited federal government, a strong national defense, limited taxation, limited government interference in the markets and traditional values" (thank you MM). I have voted for a Democrat candidate for governor based on those principles (Bredesen, TN). I most assuredly, DID NOT vote for the current pretender who is, with the aid of Pelosi and Reid and the dysfunctional Legislative Branch, stampeding our nation toward the fate of Greece… the first EU domino to fall.

I refuse to give money or support to the current Republican party because they reneged on their promise to uphold values (1994 – “Contract with America”). I will not likely vote for Shelby in his next round.

That said, a vote for a third party candidate is a vote against yourself under current conditions. For example, Perot gave us Bill Clinton and Nader gave us George Bush. I would give money to the Tea Party., but I would not vote for a candidate running under the “Tea Party” banner.

As y’all have certainly discerned from my previous posts on the forum, I am Constitutional originalist. That trait alone makes me “conservative.” I understand Gov Palin... her values are my values.
