Yes. Solid green water from fertilizer runoff will cause temperature changes due to lack of sun penetration, which in turn might kill fish. Why is Alabama power ignoring this problem? Perhaps because the wealthiest lake residents have the most expansive, over fertilized lawns? Fertilizer should not be allowed to be used within 100 yards of the waters edge. Do your job as custodian of lake martin, Alabama power!
