It's a step away from the "old boy" network of former Russell Hospital executives. Hopefully, he will ask the hard questions and demand transparency. He'll be saddled with some of the bad decisions that they already made. Alex City is the only place I know that gives the employees 5% raises and then have no money for essential services. I'm not saying that the employees don't deserve a raise, but they could have given incremental raises. I think the biggest mistake was buying and then rehabbing and rehabbing the old Russell headquarters building. And now they are talking about rehabbing the old Town Hall anyway for another purpose. They all loved Nabors, but the truth is that he put the city into more debt than was reasonable.
