Think about.....we have gone from a mortality rate of over 2% to around 0.4% or the same as the ordinary flu. We know that the elderly and those with co-morbidities are most susceptible to the virus. We now have effective treatment options that actually work. We seem to be very close to having a vaccine or vaccines that will protect against the virus. Fixating on the new cases now that we have entered a new cold and flu season is the work of the scientifically illiterate. You are in good company. Recall in 2008-2009 with the H1N1 we had 60 million cases.......today you are freaking out over 13% of that number. And there have been over 133M tests done so far with a 7% positive rate.
But what I don't get is that masks usage is more common today than ever before and yet we are still seeing a spike. Same thing is happening in other countries with even more stringent mask requirements.....and their spikes are even worse than here in the U.S. C'mon man! By the way, there is a Danish study of over 6,000 people that is in peer review that found no correlation between mask usage and reduced infection rates.
