We have been doing some damage assessment the last couple of days. What we have found is either complete destruction or light damage. We counted 19 heavily damaged or destroyed in Windover, at least 18 to 20 on Lakeside, Wildwood, Boardwalk area, another 6 to 8 in Sandy Lane area, 6 to 8 in Impey Road area, 8 to 10 in Sandy Creek, 2 businesses on Hwy 34, 3 homes on Hwy 49 South, and 6 to 8 in Dadeville.

BTW, we were in the Windover/Ridge area today by boat and debris is floating in open water all over that area. Be very careful, boards with nails, etc.; we spun a prop on a 2 X 4. Unless Alabama Power moves quickly on removing this stuff it'll have a major impact on recreation this summer.

Need help from volunteers, stop by the Paces Point Vol. Fire Dept.
