That is no fun. It is amazing how quickly the damage comes when there water gets in. And you are right, just a little flashing and problem would have never occurred.

The guy who built my addition in 2000 did an overall great job, and I used his design and method to extend that some more. BUT, when we get a blowing rain from the NorthWest, and it comes in above my big picture windows, they get washed on the inside. I have placed some flashing on some bedroom windows that had that problem, and must tackle the big windows soon. It is at the top of my list, I just don't have time to work off the list anymore.
