So far this year I have been around often enough to keep mine watered. That works since I live here. When I am gone for a few days I do have the garden on an irrigation zone. Currently, I have two large sprayers and some pop ups. My plan is to use soaker hoses throughout the garden next year. That will take more work each year to get it in place, but I understand that top down watering causes more of the disesases.

Still I do not believe you can beat good ol' green hose pipe watering directly to the base of the plant: early in the morning with a cup of coffee in one hand. Still better a half inch to an inch of a summer shower......Hey, did God not get the memo on the dangers of top-down watering?
