Amen.  Those guys are brave souls.   We had several of them work with our Jungle Clearing Company in Viet Nam.  They would slip out with a patrol late in the afternoon from our perimeter and drop out of the patrol and set-up a 1/2 mile or so  either in the jungle or along a mountain ridge.  It was an extra layer of security to prevent the enemy from testing our perimeter at night.  It had to of been an erie feeling to be just a couple of men out by themselves all night long.  They would then be picked-up the next afternoon.  It takes a special breed.
