Doc, You were there when I needed you when my dog was dieing. It was the least we could do to secure your boat. We were glad to do it. Thank you for the kind words again but just a day on the lake.
After we talked this morning, Renee and I went for a drive to see the impact the flood had. We drove over to your house to check things out and the was more than a foot between the lake and the boat. I'm thankful the water did not rise anymore than it did. We have to have a better plan put together WHEN this happens again. Thank you for the kind words again but just a day on the lake.
We moved in our new home in March of '03. That May the lake flooded twice in 11 days. Needless to say, I started to wonder if we had done the right thing in building here. Now, it's all in preparing for it when it does. It makes a difference to the stress level.
