Subject:   APCo says Lake will not fill this year.

Per a press release from APCo< Lake Martin will not fill this year due to the drought.  Even though APCo gained approval to keep the lake three feet higher this past winter, they will be unable to fill the lake.  Lord help us if they had not kept it up during the winter with a special variance.  The HOBOs have requested a five foot drop in winter pool ever since the relicensing started 5 years ago, instead of the APCo requested seven foot drop, which incidentily is the most profitable for APCo.  The situation we find ourselves in is proof that a three foot rise in winter pool will not stave off a drought.
