Make sure the deck around the tree is built such to allow room for future growth. As i a similar situation but gave to continually cut out a section of the decking to allow for growth and no i dud not build the deck it was there when i purchased the house. Now every 3 or so years have to cut out decking and then crawl under deck and resupport
