My pontoon is also swinging from ceiling. I am tying it on all corners with double or tripple ropes. The extra ropes are tied to the shed posts and not to the cleats. Am raising a bit higher above the water in case of waves. Have of course lowered the top and will tied it down to the pontoon itself. I am removing my cover also because it will likely be damaged in any high winds.

Be mindful it could blow off the lift if not tied securely to the dock.

Also have my boat insurance company number handy.
