Several of us have been posting about this lately. Look back at some of the post by Motorman, Osms, roswellric, and myself. There are a number of reasons why all the stars and planets have been linning up just right for tremendous demand and appreciation of Lake Martin property. Let me mention a few. Alabama is becoming the auto capital of the USA and taking that crown from Michigan. Jobs and good paying jobs from this industry with people working hard during the week, and with money to spend on recreational property to play hard on during the weekends. Baby boom generation with its ample share of affluent people looking for a good retirement spot. Those folks are looking at the internet for retirement areas, and Lake Martin shows up as one of the premiere retirement spots. Retired military and Civil Service pay is not subject to State income tax in Alabama. Property tax is second cheapest in the USA and only slightly higher than the cheapest Arkansas. The sun belt is where the retired want to go to, and all the retirement classes tell you to stay away from Florida for many reasons. Atlanta and its suburbs are booming and all the affluent folks from there are looking for recreational property. I could go on and on. Like I said in an earlier post this past week - I believe that Lake Martin proerty will apprecitate two, three or maybe four times over in the next ten years or less. So SBsigmapi, you had best stake your claim as soon as possible since I have read your post and know Lake Martin ownership is on your radar screen. Hope this partially answers your question "noagenda"; althought I think you already knew the answer to your question.
