I've been getting emails that starting the first of august ( 2 days ago ) Mars would become closer to the earth than it has been in the last 5000 years. As the month progresses and on into september it will be as bright as the moon in our night sky. Supposely no human will witness this for another 50,000 years. I may have some of the info wrong but if it's true it's pretty exciting. It's suppose to begin rising in the east at about 10:30pm and reach its zenith about 3am.
