Just found this posted on the LM website today - thought I would pass along.

A Lake Martin Spring Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2006 at DARE Park, 8:00 a.m. to Noon. The event is organized by the Middle Tallapoosa Clean Water Partnership and Alabama Power Company.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. at DARE Park Alabama Power Company will provide trash bags, plastic gloves, and t-shirts. At noon refreshments will be provided to everyone who participated in the clean up.

We will be targeting the upper end of the lake, in particular Woods and Youngs Islands, launching boats from DARE Park. Dumpsters or dump trucks will be located at this collection point.
