The Washington Post provides monthly a two to three page color page listing with the names, pictures and a slight bit of biography to include schools and etc. of each Soldier, Sailor and Air Man that we loose in the useless war in Iraq. I personally cry and am not ashamed of admitting it when I read it. I read every word and look at every picture. So many for so little. I do wish I were still young enough and brave enough to seek the villain in Afghanistan or where ever he and other religious zealots hide.

No dishonor intended to any of these brave Men and Ladies, but this is a total ego War just like Viet Nam. I served there and saw several Brave Men die and injured for nothing. I am also scarred emotionally since l also saw and held one in my arms while he died and cried for his Mom. I personally also watched the smoke and flames from the Pentagon during the recent attack. I held in my arms the Brother of a man killed in the 2001 attack as he mourned for his Brother who died in the attack I felt once again the same agony.

Please forgive me for my moment of respect for the true Brave and Great. Memorial Day is upon us, and it is not intended to be a three day pleasure weekend for those who are so blessed to enjoy it.

I am possible too old to serve but not to old to fight the useless loss of our Sons and Daughters in Iraq. Please forgive me for this moment, or I would not do justice in my post. I think JIM and many others will attest I am still in grief.

We do owe a moment of great gratitude, and it is our responsibility to stop this injustice.

Someone please jump off the Lake Martin Rock not in the name of pleasure but what Memorial Day stand for .
