Subject:   Marine Police Are GREAT !!!

Have you ever tried contacting them as a friend of ours did about 3 weeks ago, when he was sitting idle (in a VERY uncrowded area of the lake) taking slack out of rope to pull up skier when a boat load of younger people was coming straight at his daughter he was about to pull sking, he yelled as his daughter to drop the rope and swung his boat around between his daughter and the on coming boat. At one point they thought they may have to jump overboard, but other boat finally turned within like 15 yards or so.

Anyway they called Marine Police and they came SCREAMING up the lake (as I saw them and told my wife I had never seem the Marine Police going that fast, told her they must be after someone) to River North Marina and lets just say they took all these boater aside for DUI testing, etc. Unfortunatily the boat driver fled the scene as soon as they arrived at the marina, per my friend. Friend said they were there in less than 10 minutes.

How do I know this story as we were at diner with them and I mentioned I saw the marine police SCREAMING up the lake around 5pm or so and he said you wil not beleive this but we called them, then he told me the story.

So do not even say the Marine Patrol is worthless, as they are by NO MEANS worthless in my opinion. I fully suppor them and believe they do a GREAT job based on limited resources.

Have you ever called them?? If not, do not say they are WORTHLESS !!!
