Subject:   Save the Auburn Majorettes!

In 1949 five coeds became the first Auburn drum majorettes. This 57 year Auburn tradition is in the process of being done away with. In two years the majorette program will be non-existent. WHY? Because there are those who feel that a separation between the dance line, the flag corps, and the majorettes is “NOT FAIR”. You may have already noticed that the majorettes this year are no longer wearing the traditional white boots, and are no longer performing the high step that has been an Auburn pregame tradition. Are we, the Auburn men and women, going to let someone erase OUR long standing tradition? We wouldn’t let someone stop us from rolling Toomer’s Corner after a win, so we shouldn’t let them end our majorettes.
Please let Auburn University know that as alum and fans we want the majorettes to remain. Take a moment of your time and send an email or call the following people:
