Not picking at your post Lakeman, but your postings do raise some good points and some even better questions. I guess this point goes toward a draft. How can a man or a woman be a good parent when within the last five years, they are about to deploy for the third or fourth time. When not in hostile territory those folks also spend a lot of time on field exercises or training that take them away from their families for days and nights at a time. I think this is a little more than most had bargained for. I was in the old Army where we were taught to take care of our people. This type of service to our Nation is not taking care of the Defenders or their families. How can an all volunteer force be a better force when they become demoralized by this type of demand upon their very lives?
