In order that we may understand the identity, the experience and the financial strength of those companies who propose to build, own and operate the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County. Alabama:
Please identify all the persons and entities who will be the owners of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and identify the parent corporation(s) and other entity structure of ownership of the entities who will be the owners of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County. Alabama: and identify which of these are publicly owned corporations.
The main principal is Jerry Brooks of Brooks & Gregory, LLC. The rest of the investment group has not been defined at this time. Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC believes that the majority of the investors would be from the local area.
For each of the persons and entities identified in 1. above, please provide a list of all the other plants owned by them, including their locations and their NPDES permit ID's for air and water, further please identify which of such plants currently employ similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County. Alabama
Presently, Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC has no other ethanol plants in operation. However, AREA is willing to discuss technologies that are to be implemented in this facility. Since AREA does not have a plant operation, the permit questions can not be answered. But, the permits for all plants in the USA are public information and can be disclosed.
Please identify all the persons and entities that will be responsible for construction of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and identify the parent corporation(s) and other entity structure of ownership of the entities that will be responsible for construction of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC is ultimately responsible for construction of the facility. At this time a General Contractor has not been chosen.
For each of the persons and entities identified in 3. above, please provide a list of all the other plants constructed by them; further please identify which of such plants currently employ similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama
Again, as stated above, a General Contractor has not been chosen. By the end of the Due Diligence process a contractor will have been selected.
5. Please identity all the persons and entities that will be or are planned to be responsible for operation of she ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and identify the parent corporation (s) and other entity structure of ownership of the entities who will be responsible for operation of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama..
Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC has not selected the management firm that will operate the plant, but this will be a firm that is fully qualified for this will be one of the covenants for financing.
6 .For each of the persons and entities identified in 5- above, please provide a list of all the other plants operated by them; further please identify which of such plants currently employ similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
B. In order that we may assess the employment opportunity contribution of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama:
1. Please disclose the total number of permanent jobs, the Job descriptions and the pay scales reasonably expected for the operation of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
There will be approximately 50-60 permanent jobs created directly from this facility. In general, the description would be; General Manager, Plant Manager, Controller, Maintenance Manager, Operation Manager, Production Manager, Utility Manager, Commodities Manager, Lab Manager, Operators, Clerical and Custodial. The average wage at this facility would be approximately $50,000.
2. Please disclose the total number of permanent jobs, the job descriptions and the pay scales in place for each of the other plants owned or operated by those persons and entities who will be the owners and operators of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and further please identify which of such plants currently employ similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC, presently does not operate an ethanol plant. These wages are consistent in the industry.
C. In order that we may assess the ancillary economic and environmental impact of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama:
Please disclose the total annual volume of grain reasonably expected to be used in the operation of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and identify the reasonably expected means of transportation of such quantities of grain to the plant. Please identify the total annual volume of grain being used in each of the other plants which are currently owned or operated by those persons and entities who will be the owners and operators of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, and which plants are of reasonably comparably size and currently employing similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
The plant will use as estimated 20 million bushels of corn annually. Initially the majority of the corn will come from the north on rail. Presently, there are no other plants operated by Alabama Renewable Energy Alliance, LLC.
Please disclose the nature of the fuels reasonable expected to be used in the operation of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama; and identify the total annual volume of such fuels reasonably expected to be consumed in the operation of the plant; and identify the reasonably expected means of transportation of such quantities of fuel to the plant. Please identify the total annual volume of fuels being used in each of the other plants which are currently owned or operated by those persons and entities who will be the owners and operators of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, and which plants are of reasonably comparably size and currently employing similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
The proposed plant at Dadeville will be the first plant in the USA to utilize wood waste as a feed stock to reduce the energy usage at the facility. The plant is estimating using a quantity of 800 tons per day of wood residue at approximately 50% moisture. This product will initially be delivered to the plant by truck. Natural gas would be the next highest volume fuel being used at the plant. Natural gas will be delivered by pipeline with an approximated volume of 2000 decatherms per day.
Please disclose whether the water(s) to be used in the operation of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama is expected to be of drinking water quality or otherwise; and identify the total annual volume of water reasonably expected to be consumed in the operation of the plant; and identify the reasonably expected means of transportation of such quantities of water to the plant.
Please identify the total annual volume of water being used in each of the other plants which are currently owned or operated by those persons and entities who will be the owners and operators of the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, and which plants are of reasonably comparably size and currently employing similar technology to that planned for the ethanol plant proposed for Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
The water needed for production does not necessarily need to be drinking water quality, however
