LTL – Lets just say in your lifetime you would never guess who the HOBOs spoke with prior to writing the letters to the Corp and Governor, but they were written after discussions with lets just say a rather influential group.

Secondly the HOBOs are approaching close to 1,000 members in less than 3 months. So obviously there are numerous others lake stakeholders who share our concerns regarding Lake Martin and the surrounding community.

Since you are continually taking pot shots at folks and the HOBOs, on this forum, which in my opinion, are actually getting very very old to say the least, I will answer your questions this one time.

Let me begin by stating most if not all your questions you asked can be easily answered by going to the HOBO’s website as all meeting minutes, correspondence, bylaws, etc., are posted on the organizations website for all to view (members and non-members).

One of the questions on the membership application in order to obtain feedback from new members is “Lake Concerns” and the response to this question have been explicitly, without a doubt:
- Water quality
- Water levels
- Zoning

So by one of your questions I have to assume every corporation you hold stock in must contact you before they make a business decision? As that is what you have implied by asking – “Do the 3-4 of you guys just decide to put something out without it being discussed and voted on by the membership?” The HOBOs are structured just like a corporation in that they have Officers and a Board of Directors, which were duly elected and empowered by the membership to run the HOBO business on a day-to-day basis. All of which are posted on the website for all the review.

Again just like a corporation the organization sets an annual budget, which is approved by its membership and posted in the website. It is there just go look.

In closing, LTL give it a rest as this organization along with numerous other local, state and other entities are banning together in an attempt bring new and exciting events to the lake to support the local community and its businesses. As I have stated before the HOBOs are about the lake, but they are also about supporting the local community.

FYI, meetings of the organization are open to the public, pursuant to the bylaws, so feel free to come anytime, as all are welcome.
