Boating Safety Course

Forgot to post this last week sorry.
The Lake Martin HOBOs have scheduled their first Safe Boating Course for the year. The “Squadron Boating Course” will be conducted over three classes of instruction, including the exam. The course will be held on Saturdays, February 16, 23, and March 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the StillWaters Residential Association Building, 1816 Stillwaters Drive, Dadeville, AL.
All Alabama boaters born after 1954 must be certified that they have completed a boating course to qualify for the Alabama Boating License. This Power Squadron course, taught by Fred Thompson, will qualify the graduate for a discount from most boat insurance companies, as well as certifying the individual for an Alabama Boating License.
Boaters of all ages are invited to reserve a seat for this important opportunity to help make our lake safer. To make reservations, please email jesse@lakemartin.org, or mail your request to Lake Martin HOBOs, P.O. Box 1030, Dadeville, AL 36853. Tuition (includes lesson materials and text) is $10.00 for HOBO members, and $20.00 for non-members.
