I have to agree with the water_watcher that we really need someone to open a good restaurant or get the message to the existing ones that they are way below par. I wrote a couple of weeks ago about how bad Suzi Q's was....well this past weekend when the storm hit, Hwy 229 had trees down across it so it was closed. I couldn't make it to town. I needed 4 baked potatoes and some salad. With no other choices around I went over to Suzi's for the potatoes and salad. $28!!! $28 for 4 small normal sized potatoes and salads that were nothing more than a house salad. No cucumbers and only 1 or 2 pieces of tomato. I looked at her with a amazed look and she just smiled and said "They are real good". If it was me I would have walked out but the ladies wanted potatoes so without hesitation I bought them. While I waited though....I broke out in a sweat. The place was hot. Only 4 people eating in there and 2 were marine police. I just don't get it. What has happened to the lake? Sinclair's...it is not great.....Suzi's is HORRIBLE....and the next closest thing is Chuck's. Which is good. The cove is good but from our side of the lake it is a long ride. I just don't get why the service and food is soooo bad at 2 of the oldest places on the lake to dine. I sure hope people on here read these posts and report to the managers/owners and let them know the public is upset with the service/food. Sullivan (Sinclair's) should be ashamed. He has nice restaurants in Montgomery. Suzi..well she is just getting started but it won't be a long business adventure if that is the best she can produce. Sad.......
