Get a really good quality MAP of the Lake Martin Area. Be sure it includes: -Landmarks (Restaurants, Marinas, Churches, Points of Interest, etc) -GPS Guidepoints -Detailed Names of: -Creeks, the river channel, -Developments, sub-divisions, communities -Water Features like: -Estimated depths -Navigational points -Land contours (maybe?) -Hazard Indicators (rocks, land bridges, etc) Make it plastic-coated. Get 3 copies, 1 for the cabin, 1 for your boat, and 1 for your home away from the Lake. To me and my family, it is fun and educational to look at your LM Map in leisure time to see where you are now, where you went yesterday on the boat, how far it was, where you want to go next time. Also on this forum, when people mention an unfamiliar location, pull out your map and find it! It is fun, regards
