Wine is a tricky thing in a restaurant. I am assuming this is a red wine. The life on that bottle is four or five days. The standard on a glass of wine is to get a reasonable price ($6.00) not bad for a glass. It is likely they may sell one more glass. The rest may go to waste thus producing less than a 200% mark up.(not enough to cover the overhead) Catfish is over $4.00 per pound just as everything else has gone up. I own a restaurant and as long as the freshness and quality are there, this may be what retail price succumbs to. Unfortunatly these prices are real not only to you but also to us. I hope this helps.
