I don't know Spear....Don't forget that despite having an overwhelming free media advantage, outspending McCain by two to one (after breaking his promise to take only public financing), entertainment industry support, millions of minority voters newly registered, a sitting president with abysmal favorability ratings, and an economic catastrophe that has wiped out 4-5 trillion dollars in value, HE STILL ONLY BEAT McCAIN BY 4-5 POINTS!! 55 million americans didn't buy his crap and I was one of them. This was NOT a landslide. Reagan's victories of 10 and 18 points were landslides. This has to be a huge concern for the libs who were expecting a clear mandate to govern from the left. They did not get it last night.

American was proven last night to be still a center-right country, and it will be difficult for him to live up to his messianic legacy trying to appease the liberals who feel they got him there, and the center right citizens who hold his re-election in their hands. I'm convinced that with the right candidate, the GOP would have overcome all of the above obstacles.
