Figured I better post the TRUE Story before stipernut posts his side of the story.

Let just say the following:
- Stripernut is a great guy and was a pleasure to meet and hangout with for the day.
- Stripernut has a great boat and it is definitely rigged for striper fising.
- Stripernut can sure find those stripers, all over them all day long.
- Striper nut is great teacher and we appreciated him taking the time to teach us all the finer points of striper fishing in terms of rods, reels, lines, sinkers, hooks, bait, reading the fish finder, etc etc.
- Stripernut is just that a stripernut.

Now for the remainder of the story:
There is an old saying you can lead a horse to water but cannot make him drink.
Well in our case you can put us over stripers all day long, but cannot make them take the bait.

Had over I would have to say 20+ hard hits and probably 40+ easy hits.

So guess the stripers were just not hungy, LOL. My story is and I am sticking with it there was a full moon the night before and there is an old wise tale that never fish a couple of days before and after a full moon. So I am blaming the lack of fish in the boat on the previous nights full moon.

But I will say the one striper we did boat made my day as BRF (BoatsRFun) landed his first striper and have you ever seen a 40 year old man have the feeling of being a 12 year old once again. BRF was like a kid in the candy store all smiles from ear to ear and I can gurantee you he is now hooked on striper fishing.

Stripernut, see you again this coming Saturday, looking forward to Phase 2 of our striper fishing lessons and we are going to boat the limit by lunch and head home early, it is guaranteed !!!!

Also to BRF and McKayGMC enjoyed the day on the lake with you guys and looking forward to next Saturday. As we all said a decent day on the lake is better than a good day in the city and we all had a great time. Thanks again stripernut.

End of story.
