First a couple of FACTS. The treaty that forbids torture is called the Genva Convention. Yes, we are a signatory to it. Iraq and Afghanistan AREN"T. Therefore we are not bound by the Convention in fighting wars there. The convention also only applies to 'troops in uniform'. So therefore the terrorists would not be covered, even if we were bound by the treaty. The treaty also specifically states that anyone caught fighting on the field of battle that is NOT in uniform is considered to be a spy and can be SHOT ON SIGHT. So which is beter, a stay at Club Gitmo, or a bullet to the head? Personally I like the latter, but much intelliginece has been gained at Gitmo.

Of course by the liberals definition of 'torture' the trainig we put our troops through would be considered torture, especially anyone entering the special forces. But that is perfectly OK with the libs because the troops are beneath human scum to them.
