Gary or Matt:

Would it be OK to have a strobe hanging about a foot or so below your anchor/stern light while underway.

As have to agree that sometimes at night, it can be hard to distinguish a stern light from shore lights.

So was thinking of purchasing a strobe light (see URL below) that has a lanyard and hooking it over my stern light pole and allow it to sway back and forth while underway.

Would this be OK as most strobes I see are on the back of the boats and you cannot see them if you are head on. SO figures this type of strobe may even be better as you can see it from all directions.

Thanks.
