If I was a total idiot and through fiscally irresponsible actions drove my household to bankruptcy, I would view that as not being in the best interest of my family. Why would I want my descendents to saddle a burden I placed on them because I have a need for immediate gratification? That is what our leaders in DC are doing now – that shows how little respect they have for us. With regards to the spendulus bill, we heard how “it has to be passed now, no time to read it”, and now we hear that it has not had the desired impact because only about 10% has been distributed. The distributions are done through Washington, and although I know that corruption runs deep in all levels of Government in a vast majority of the United States, I think the only area that could give Chicago a run for their money was Louisiana. Giving money to the states – I will call that welfare, and pandering – and again, this is not money that is just sitting in the bank doing nothing. When the money the states are given is depleted, are they going to go back to their old ways, or raise taxes to continue to fund the new “programs”. I am sure you have seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fwog6E08CFU – the one in which our candidate does not put his hand over his heart during the Nation Anthem. His staff said “sometimes he does, sometimes not” – what does this show us? If the National Anthem is playing, what do you think about? If it is not our great country, you also have no respect for her.
Michelle made one stupid statement “the first time in her adult life that she was proud” of our country? Misspoke? How do you accidentally come up with a statement like that? She is a very intelligent young lady, and I would expect far more than that. Are you saying that she was not an adult during the reign of King Clinton?
As far as taking up arms – we are nowhere near that point. The second amendment was put in to prevent tyranny, not for hunting or self-defense rights, and if it gets to that point you will have a DUTY to take up arms to protect our Constitution. I guess instead, we will find you out picking flowers for the troops.
