our country.
Why do these things have to be legislated? Why can't each community decide for themselves what is appropriate for their residents? Let the local school boards in conjunction with the residents decide what is appropriate for their school?

Why can't our legislators spend their time on the issues that are really important and will benefit from being legislated?

The Federal Government is doing their best to trample the 10th amendment.

In my younger days, I was a pro. I found it was cheaper and worked better to buy beer for myself than makeup for them. ;-) Like the line in "Animal House" - looks are important, but we will trade looks for a morally casual attitude (or something like that).

There is NOTHING in the Constitution which calls for separation of church and state. There is a law prohibiting establishment of an official church of the United States of America. And there is a law prohibiting establishing (a) law which prohibits the free exercise of religion.

Makes me a bit yucky in the tummy. I guess I need go back to the originalist stuff and refresh myself on the charter of congress.. From prayer in the school to who deserves a MRI, and how much CO2 we exhale, think they are pressing the original intent..

Okay... I am an originalist... I believe in our Constitution as it was written. I DO NOT believe that its tenets and our rights have morphed.

Often, I refer to The Constitution as I compose my posts on this forum. I have posted my copy to my website for you to download if you wish. Cut and paste the following onto your browser:

Save it for reference.
