As predicted, the much ballyhooed 3rd quarter growth numbers were overstated by almost 60%. All the growth was in government with zero to negative private sector growth. These numbers will not support job growth.....which I am sad to say is exactly what we saw with the latest jobless numbers rising once again. I could plea for some fiscal sanity but all we are getting is the largest tax increase in our history if the health care legislation makes it to the Messiah's desk in 2010.

I think that it's appropriate to say to this administration "liar, liar, pants on fire".

We can't believe anything that they say.

If you have looked at the Alabama budget numbers, you will find that our wonderful State Government is whining about getting less of the Porkulus Money in the next couple of years. NO thought with regards to the fact that these monies are coming off the taxpayer credit card. We hear about how state revenue is down, that the teachers union wants raises, and that they need more people because of rising unemployment. I am fortunate to be making about the same as last year, while my wife has taken a substantial hit on her income. Another example of how disconnected our "leaders" have become.

I just made that point to an individual that I work with that is an Obama lover and did not get the point that we as tax payers have to pay for all these failed programs deficits. I used teh credit card example too saying that she has a card with a limit. When she reaches the limit she can not spend more and she is responsible for paying the balance down before she can spend more.

But Obama has a credit card that he keeps spending and running up the balance. When it reaches the limit he goes to congress to raise the credit limit. The difference is, who pays his credit card bill is us as tax payers.

The sad part is she still did not get it ... her response was that the government does not ever have to pay it back. To which I said ... unless something is done the interest on all that borrowed money is going to be the largest portion of the budget and eventually consume all the budget. To which we will have to raise taxes so high that the economy will die or we default and bankrupt the United States and our freedom is gone.

Somehow these liberals do not understand the facts. They have this take take take mentality .... and never thinking about where it is coming from. Let someone else pay so the government can give to me.

As Winston Churchill once said, "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery." We are headed toward an equal share of misery for everyone except the political class that always seems to exempt themselves from the very programs they foist on us.

My fervent hope is that this unconstitutional piece of legislation will prompt Tennessee, Oklahoma or Texas to formally pursue secession. It will never happen but it will inspire the masses and frighten the political class.

Obama will end his first year with a record-setting 56% disapproval rating. I once said the key is whether he is ambitious or ideological. I would suggest at this point it is clearly the latter.
