Is there a set distance for boats/ pwc to maintain away from unmarked (no bouy) docks or shoreline?

Even if there were a "Law", enforcement would be a stretch for the MP. Search this forum for the history of this topic and you will get page after page of discussion, with no clear solutions.
Hopefully for you it is not a severe problem. In my case every single resident of our slough seems to understand the term "courtesy", and respects the feelings of others. Even visitors boating into our slough chop back way out and idle to the dock. We get an occasional cretin behind the wheel, but it is not such a big problem.

After you digest the past post mentioned by Mack, you will find the answer. I will save you some time by stating "it is the casting distance of a Muskie Lure". All said in jest.
