OCarter the toxic president

Having accomplished so much in so short a time, OCarter has become toxic to many Dems running for reelection. For the second time in a row, the President was greeted at the airport by a Republican Governor (first Georgia and now Texas) as Dem candidates scattered for the hills. In Georgia, Roy Barnes was down in south Georgia when the President came to town so Sonny Purdue met him at the airport. Now Rick Perry had to do likewise.
And to think it took W six years or more to gain such a moniker and OCarter achieved it in less than two. I can assure you the GOP loves OCarter when he is stumping or looking for cash. This mid-term election is looking more like 1965 than ever before.

Saw a little of his TX speech on the news - he's still campaigning against W. Perry will surly be glad to escort him back to the airport.

President Carter was a good man, acting… no matter how misguided… upon his strong moral convictions. His actions were inapplicable in a vicious world, and when he turned the other cheek, the US got its butt kicked. I still admire President Carter, though not as a past president.
Pretender Obama is a slick, conniving, and arrogant man, acting… in a very concerted manner… to degrade the moral and economic fabric of a great country into one in line with his socialist and activist training. His actions are duplicitous in a naïve country which is slow to awaken. Obama is not acting alone.

I used to admire what Carter did following his term as President but no longer. The things he has said and his actions vis-a-vis the Middle East are anti-American. He has become more of a joke the older he gets. I have actually met him twice. Once at a company function at the Carter Center that he attended (still have the group photo with him) and distinctly remember zero thrill at shaking his hand. The second time was the worst. I was on a plane out of Atlanta that he was on and they held up our departure so he could go through the entire plane to shake everyone's hand. Needless to say there were lots of pissed off people including me. When he came to my seat I was trying to ignore him and read hoping he would move on and we could finally take off. But he just stood there and finally said, "I don't want to interrupt your reading". I shook his hand, told him he seemed like a nice guy but was the worst President of the 20th Century and maybe longer. The Secret Service guys then beat me up....just kidding about the very last part. :-)
In my view he has squandered the respect he is due for being a former President.
