This past weekend I was going down the main channel on kowliga Bay....and there is a hazard bouy right past Anchor Bay going toward the bridge. It has always been there but has not been this summer.....well it was back this past weekend. I decided to go up to it and check the depth around the bouy. It read 8 ft. That is very shallow. I would imagine when the water is down that is a very dangerous spot.

Yup, could be a bad deal when the lake is down..  maybe that's why it is there??   What am I missing??

yes not a area you would expect to be that shallow even when the water is down.

A few years ago, someone parked a big cigarette boat ( Pier 47? I think) on that area early one spring after leaving the forerunner to Harbor Docks bar & grill. You got to be careful when the water goes away. Peace/out :-)
