Subject:   So the recession is over?!?!?!?
Date:   9/21/2010 9:04:34 AM

Once again Dems and the government media are conspiring to try and fool the American people into thinking happy days are here again.  This pathetic attempt to save their political backsides will not work because most Americans can see as plain as day that we are not in a recovery.  Let's see, the recession began in December 2007 and ended in June 2009 but the recovery is "jobless".  Only a left wing nut economist can look at ~10% unemployment, record foreclosures, etc and declare a recession over.

And isn't it curious that the recession ended over a year ago and they just now figured that out?!?!  And two months before the mid term election.....what a strange coincidence.  Let's see, I wonder if 12 months from now all these brilliant economists are then going to tell us the economy took another dip in mid-2010 but they didn't think it was important enough to tell us.....just before the mid term elections.....just another coincidence I am sure.  Oh wait, I am sure we will hear all about the double dip in November 2012......just after the general election.

Well it will not work because we can look around us and see that the economy is still in shambles.  No amount of government media declarations and OCarter town halls can obfuscate the truth.

I read that, too.

We are still bleeding from a gaping wound… and the pain is yet excruciating.  But, I suppose that we are beginning to heal because the train wreck has come to a halt.  If only they can get us to the hospital before we black out and bleed to death.  We need to trust that they will do that… “Trust me – I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”

The liberals are desperate for a message.  They need a catchy slogan… something they can run on in the elections.  They cannot run on warped or rotten planks.  They cannot run on past performance.  They cannot blame Bush anymore for their own failed fiscal policies and programs (recall that it was a Democrat Congress which, in 2007, put an end to declining deficits.)

The heartland is struggling.  Our fellow Americans are suffering and among them, hope is a casualty.  Patriotism is on the rise.

And, by the way, the folks who came up with the belied assessment that the recession is over… are academics!  I read today that going to college is like driving a new Corvette to college, turning over the keys… and taking the bus home.  Academia never had a recession!

Don't you think it is very sad that they are saying the recession is over and we have 10% unemployment, huge deficits and in 5 years they will double the national debt accumulated from George Washington through George W. Bush. If this is what they call the end of a recession .... well, I would hate to see the hard times. Obama and the dems do not get it .... bigger government and higher taxes is their answer to everything. Obama was a joke on CNBC ... he certainly did not come across as a leader ... more like an angry child that does not have a clue what to do, so he wants to keep doing more of the same.
