I suspect they were looking for any charges so as to get their hands on him. If he "disappeared" under suspicious circumstances, that would be just fine with me. I think he is a sociopath.

I find it disconcerting that this dirtball can commit acts of espionage against the most powerful nation on earth with impunity. Notice that he pulls this stunt against free world, democratic nations. What do you suppose would happen if he did this against Israel or Russia? He would (and should) wink out… just like the agents and operatives he exposed.

I think that he and Bradley Manning should share a like ending. Assange is happy to taunt countries in the name of "the common good", and wields his poison pen to tattle. He has yet to realize that his playground that we call the world is not built in a "fair".
