I saw pix of fr8 surrounded by a pier full of beautiful women. But how was everybody else's long weekend? I tried to go out on the boat late Saturday afternoon, only to find somebody had left the radio on and the boat battery was dead. Charged the battery Sunday night to try again Monday. But then dropped the battery charger in the lake Monday and by the time I got back from Wal Mart just decided to heck with it and sat on the deck and watched the rest of the world go by. Sure is quiet out there today tho....my favorite time on the lake. <>< TC

Friday we had what started out as girls day out but then the guys wanted the day off to so all kids were taken care of and we had about 22 women and about 9 guys. We were not allowed to stay so we wakeboarded and surfed and enjoyed a few hours then went back about 5 and picked up the girls and watched the sun set so that was an excellent day. Saturday SUnday and Monday I would venture to guess in the 6 years we have been on the lake it was probably the busiest we have seen it in a while and we did lots of sitting and floating neck deep. Never did make it up your way but check out the other pictures that just went up

twc, that sounds like my experience a couple of years ago at the Aquapalooza on Lake Martin when Alan Jackson was there. Left the battery on and it ran down from sitting on the water all day then after the show I was stranded in the dark, finally used a Sea Doo to get me to a pier and then had to get a Sheriff to take us to a different Marina where our cars were.

I heard the water cops were having a big time this weekend too.

We came back to a friends pier right at dusk and saw one of the patrol boats pull someone over - finished with them and stopped the next boat he saw and then again then disappeared into the night. I heard Monday they were at the narrow passage by coosa island pulling over every boat they could stop

I think I saw the same thing you did at dark Sunday. The water patrol pulled over several in a row. One was a couple of Waverunners riding at night and to make it worse they were black Waverunners!  I saw them leave their pier and the WP pulled them over as soon as they reached the other side of the lake. This was the same group that I saw with FIVE people on the Waverunner earlier that day. (One adult and 4 kids) Go figure….

Im pretty sur I have never gone an entire weekend without seeing someone doing something stupid/dangerous. We could tell one was a pontoon but the other two we just saw him going left sit with someone for 10-15 mins then come back right and stop someone.
