Just a reminder of the dangers of carbon monoxide. This weekend we had levels at high as 154ppm on the houseboat. The detectors did their job properly and we were warned in time to evacuate before any symptoms were observed. While you may not be house-boating, the danger still exists anytime there are engines running and an enclosed area. CO tends to collect under swim platforms, pontoon boats and in cuddys. Be careful and be aware!!

Thanks for the warning. We do not have a generator but we do have a large swim platform on back of our houseboat that we can lower into the water to swim off of. There is a Mercruiser drive and exaust under the platform. The engine is always off when people are on the platform but exaust could still be underneath. Houseboat
