Haven't heard of anything real bad at the lake... rain and lightning in Eclectic without major wind. Auburn had some tornado damage but nothing like the April storms.

UEM, the "but nothing like the April storms" would depend on your position as the storm came through. Auburn got hit hard today. I don't scare easy, but at 12:15, I was praying, as I am sure thousands of others were. Prayers answered, no one reported serious injuries. http://m.oanow.com/opelika/db_18535/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=3DEX6blc

I'm sure it was frightening; I have two kids in Auburn and wasn't making light of the situation there. I based my comments on info from my son and daughter who also saw the storm and results up close and personal. Just glad everyone is safe.

The April storms were pretty much a non event in Auburn, yet produced extensive damage just 25 miles away. Yesterday, we saw the reverse with trees losing leaves at the lake and Auburn getting rocked. Perspective is entirely based on location as the storms roll through. Yesterday, I was wishing I was there.

We listened to the weather radio, but not much action on the northeast end of the Lake. We moved here in 2008 from Annapolis, so I can patently say that the weather is much better here than in Annapolis for this time of year! RadioActive
