OK, so my wife had her interview today with TSA to obtain her Global Entry card and during the interview they brought up the fact that in 2008 when she was returning to the U.S. from some foreign country that she was caught carrying.......wait for it........prepare yourself for a shocker.......a HAM SANDWICH!!!!!!  Yes, I must admit that she purchased a ham sandwich in the airport, carried it on the flight and did not consume it.  TSA, despite probably missing weapons, drugs, counterfeit money and all other forms of contraband found her ham sandwich and actually noted it in her travel record.

She barely vaguely remembered it and it was such a non-event at the time but here we are, five years later and they are not sure whether she will be approved as a trusted traveler because she had a frigging ham sandwich.  Common sense died along with all those people on 9/11.  Does anyone wonder why I would eliminate DHS and TSA if given the chance?

Even more absurd...it was a HAM sandwich. Jeez. What Allah-loving terrorist is going to carry pork?

Did TSA let her board with the ham sandwich or did they take it and eat it themselves?

Last time I flew, I stopped on the way and bought a small container of OJ and put it in my carry on bag. When they checked the bag on the conveyor, they asked if I had any liquid. I was thinking shampoo and said no. Opps, sir please step over here. They emptied the bag and said this is liquid. I gave a forum response....gee, that is liquid.....My choices were simple....give the unopened container to them or drink it. Since I was early, I said i will drink it. So, I started to open it and they immediately escorted me out of the check in area to the main airport and I drank it. Reentered and everything was fine. I wonder if I too have a record?

Was she wearing a Romney/Ryan pin at the time?

Trust us. We are here to protect you when you are traveling. WE are HomeLand Security,,,at it's best!!
Your buddy's Dirty Bomb probably made it across the border into Arizona, but your Mouthwash is a very clear violation, along with the nail clippers and the steel pin in your leg, sir. Give the clippers to Lakeesha there for re-distribution, drink the mouthwash or dump it, and thank you for your cooperation.
