Today's Outlook has the details. Estimated $20,000 worth stolen, $16,000 recovered so far. Kudos to the Dadeville Police Dept. and the Tallapoosa Sherriff's department!

Spoke to a neighbor who is full time and he said the younger teens come from a "rough family" with a history of law enforcement issues. I had long suspected it was teens probably trying to get money for alcohol or drugs. Lets hope this is what they need to straighten themselves out but the odds don't favor that outcome.

I heard the opposite. Ringleader was a repeat performer and his subordinates were from pretty decent families..although obviously screwed up teens. Who knows what the truth is. I guess we'll find out soon. IMHO best policy is to make sure we don't give false witness as it pertains to specific persons.
