Have heard reports that a local restraunteur who has had experience with lake side dining in Ga. Has made an effort to see if it would be possible to get a bar and grill permitted at PP. Word is that he would only be interested if the current residents or at least the majority would be permitted to stay. They already know some sort of development authority like the one at Russell Crossroads could be established that could get federal funds and some state funds to finance upgrades to the septic systems and permitting the use of county equipment and personnel to do the work.

Sounds like a weak idea to me. Crossroads Café doesn't exactly pack them in and is in the middle of lots of lake lots. I can't imagine Al Power going for a scheme like that.

will only be open on Thursday - Sat, starting like next week, I believe. One less eating trough. Surprised the store is closing that many days as well as the restaurant. Doesn't look good. Sign was on Louie's entrance door.

Probably just for the season. The chicken is OK and not near as good or consistent as Jim Bob's in AC....but then again who wants to drive to AC. Same old saw ...the best and most consistent seem to prosper. It's the American way.
