Has anyone played Still Waters this spring.Thinking about playing this weekend and wanted to see if theyimproved from last year.Like the golf course but it got "goat track status "last year.

We played it a couple of times over the winter and it really is in rough shape for the money.  Not sure if something has changed in the last 2-3 months that would fix the problem.  My sense is that they are no longer weeding or feeding the grass and they have resorted to a strategy of keeping the weeds mowed.  It could be a much better course and would probably get played more if they dropped the price a bit or were able to invest more in maintenance.  I just think they are in that dreaded spot where they can't afford to drop their prices but don't get enough play to afford the proper maintenance.  Until someone comes along with a cash infusion that allows them to upgrade the condition I just can't see them getting the revenue they need for it to improve much.  Its really a shame because there aren't that many options other than driving to Auburn or Opelika or joining the private club in Alex City.

Goat Ranch.....so sad.....used to be a great track. Drive to Opelika....worth the drive. Stillwater is toast.

If u play it, How about an update for us that have seen nothing but bad things said lately.  Would love to play it because the track is a great layout but I was there last year and it was not very good at all.  Mainly the greens.  Let us know what u find this go round.
