Based on today's testimony by the IRS commissioner and the actions of the IRS during the SOTUS administration I am now convinced we have seen the worst of what government can do and the agency needs to be abolished.  I have zero doubt that this is a vast coverup and that Lois Lerner and other co-conspirators detroyed evidence that directly linked the White House, Democrats in Congress and other federal agencies to suppress the vote in 2012.  They decided that destruction of evidence in a criminaly investigation was the lesser of the evils they committed.  

And what do Dems in the hearing do?  They apologize to this corrupt moron IRS commissioner for others on the committee not believing his lies.  Talk about useful idiots.  SOTUS has become the kind of Preisdent that Richard Nixon didn't even dream was possible.

I agree. Go to a value added or flat tax but then fat cats on the Right will lose all their loophole deductions. Can't write off airplanes and 3 martini lunches.

A VAT tax would work if and only if they totally abolished the income tax. Last thing we need is European style tax systems. What I like about a VAT is everyone pays taxes and if you don't want to pay much in taxes don't buy a bunch of stuff. I am also ok with a flat tax as long as everyone that has an income pays something. The problem we have now is that almost half of Americans pay no federal tax, coincidently the same percentage of Americans that are happy with our current system.....duh....

Believe me, if we had a fair tax system that didn't punish achievement and made everyone pay something I could care less about write offs. I wouldn't need them.

Abolish IRS

Bring back tarriffs.  Now more jobs and larger tax base.  This would break most favored nation China treaties?

State options on taxing food. Go 10th amendment.

Set govt budget to be limited at 20% of GNP and scale down 1% a year until it is at 5%.  Go 10th amendment.

The 50% of the country sleeping will have to wake up somehow; likely that would be quite rude to them.

Eliminate depts education , etc entirely. Change Defence Dept. from offense/empire to defense. Close borders.

Set up a grand jury type entity with the teeth and attitude of the IRS to weed out waste and corruption.

Set up another entity to watch the above one.

Set up a third to watch the above one.

Protect and pay wistleblowers.

Make Martiniman president.
