El Presidente has tweeted that he has been ''very strict on commercial aviation'' (is he talking about ''government regulations''...horrors) and in 2017 not a single operational fatality was recorded on a commercial flight on planet earth. Well, as far as US commercial aviation is concerned, the last operational fatality was in Feb 2009!! So, if the actions of the president has ANYTHING whatsoever to do with aviation safety, where should credit go?

Well Trump said it!
It is you and your fellow Trump Axx kissers who are so weak-brained you are unable to see what a charlatan this idiot is. He is playing you like a Stradivarius! Trump knows he had nothing to do with the 2017 safety record for commercial air carriers just a Obama had nothing to do with the safety record in his years. Never-the -less, El presidente pops off to imply the ridiculous knowing that 2/3ds of the sheeple who think he is a gift from God are stupid enough to believe it! Meanwhile he is removing the safety regulations placed on Nursing homes and daycare facilities and probably preparing to do the same for air safety as soon as the airline execs tells him what they want!

Archie,
One does not have to look any further than Dec 2017 when Obama, while in Chicago speaking at a climate initiative of some sort, gave himself the credit for the soaring economy witnessed under the Trump administration. I believe he stated it was the result of climate change regulation that resulted in the longest streak of job creation witnessed in US history. What bunk.......

Hey CRD, you have been around this forum a long time. I suggest you try to find a post where I gave Obama, Trump or any other politician credit for good things in the economy or blame for bad things. The president can encourage and institute policy that encourages economic advances, but in the final analysis it is the market place, not the president, that determines what the economy does. Now it is a fact that the last year of obama had an average job growth 30,000 higher than the monthly average in Trumps first year. Why? It ain't Obama or Trump. It is because we are nearing full employment...the growth of jobs is slowing because most people who want to work are working, the pool is getting shallower. The help wanted signs are out but fewer warm bodies are interested.
And
Hey Fly fish, it is a bad and sad and scary sign when when a thinking person seeks ways to silence dessenting voices. The truth hurts don't it?

Presidents set policy and they can most certainly affect the stock market. Trumps proposed agenda at the beginning of his term concerning a tax overhaul, repeal of OCare and immigration created an optimistic environment for Wall Street. His getting tax reform accomplished has further fueled the market. Job creation is another matter. The last 5 months of Obama, 908K jobs were created. First 5 months of Trump, 868K jobs were created. This from Forbes. I would tend to agree that Trump has had no real effect on the jobs market per se to this point, however, once the corporate tax rate is in place, and monies begin to flow in from overseas, he will have every right to claim that his administation's policies have helped if wages improve and more higher paying jobs are created.

I absolutely support the KKK's right to peacefully march and speak in support of Confederate monuments. I also support Black Lives Matter's right to peacefully march and speak against police violence...do you?
