Subject:	Septic systems at lake properties

I am planning to build soon on my property near the Lake. It is not waterfront property but about 100 yards from lake. I understand that there is not public sewage disposal where I'm planning to build. I am located near the old Boy Scout Camp Talasi. I would like to hear from thos people living in the vacinity to know if a engineered system was required or will a sandard septic tak with field lines be required. Thanks in advance.

It all depends on placement within the lot.  If it percs then standard septic is fine, if not then an engineered system will be required.  The pertinent rule is you can't have a field line within 50ft of the lake, but that wont be an issue for you it sounds iike.
