I think it is time for this Ol Man to consider a boat house with lift. I would be interested in experiences you have had with recent builds.
Company, cost, size, storage ideas, things to look out for. At this time I cam considering a one deck boat bay alongside an existing permanent pier.
Thanks for your help

Try Joey Banks (334) 559-5300. He does good work and is reasonably priced compared to some of the other dock builders around the lake. There is a property for sale in the Overlook at 95 Flat Rock Lane that has pictures of a boathouse he built that you can view. Good luck.

I have used Lake Martin Dock and Sunrise Dock (2 different houses). The key is to find someone who can start in a reasonable timeframe
Both times I had a 6-9 month lead time. Also key is some one that can work with lake up or down also some one that can drill if you hit rock. My last build was a dock with two lifts and they had to drill into rock for most of it.
